Project Vectus

Book One: I am Z.O.E.

The Trial Was a Lie.
Surviving Was a Mistake.

Vance Carrick was a high school football phenom. College programs from all over the country wanted him.

Then the tackle happened. The one that crushed his football hopes... for good.

To cope, Vance went after alcohol like he used to go after football. Go big or go home.

Then he found faith. Two years clean and sober. And a new normal:
Finish a business degree. Open a hardware store. Turn it into a chain of stores.

Then came the email. A clinical trial and a promise:
His body restored to its former glory and maybe a shot to go pro.

Faith faltered, and the dream of another chance at the "big time" took its place.

But now he finds himself dizzy and disoriented in his own home. He thinks he's fallen off the wagon. He hasn't. It's worse. He survived the trial.

Vectoids have been implanted in his brain. And they have connected him to a presence. A sentient AI called Z.O.E.
